    2    Layering: Once the base coat is dry, selectively apply lighter colors over the surface to mimic the natural formation of rust. Build up the layers gradually for depth and realism.
    3    Finishing Touches: Use a dry brush technique for the final layer. Dip the tip of a dry brush into paint and lightly tap it over the surface to create a textured, aged rust effect.
